On the 4th of July I arrived after a 13 hours flight in Minneapolis.
At the evening we checked into our hotel. Afterwards a good friend and me were laying near the pool and were watching the fireworks from the 4th of July.
The next day we visited Minneapolis Downtown, went to Target and took pictures at the Mississippi River. Moreover we went into the local theatre to go on an endless bridge.
Later we went shopping in the Mall of America and had dinner at a typical american restaurant. There I ate Mac and Cheese. So tasty!! The next day we went again to the mall and at the afternoon back to the airport. There we took a five hour busride to the countryside of Minnesota. We stayed for one week in the doorms of the local university. Than I worked in a summer camp with children who were 7 to 18 years old. After my summerjob I returned to Minneapolis and continued my vacation there. I stayed at a friend's house and went to highschool for a couple days. Than I visited again the mall, downtown, uptown and St. Paul. We ate really good Pizza at Punch's and in genereal way to much icecream at Dairy Queen. On the 27th of August I flew home with two suitcases filled with many memories, experiences and new confidence.
I am so thankful for the last 2 months. This summer was super stressful but one the best ones of my life. I met so many new people and some of them turned into really good friends. I really appeciate every single second I spent in the US.
Travelling is one of the most beautiful things you can do in your life. You realize how wonderful our world is. It is time to leave home and broaden our horizons. There is still so much so see. I can't realize that I have only 11 days left in germany. This time I am travelling to a different country. But my journey will be a little bit longer than the last one...

Hallo Zusammen!
Am 4. Juli bin ich nach einem 13-stündigen Flug in Minneapolis (Bundesstaat Minnesota) angekommen. Nachdem wir in unser Hotel eingecheckt hatten, verbrachten meine Freunde und ich den Abend am Pool. Dort konnte man die wunderschönen Feuerwerke beobachten.
Am nächsten Tag sind wir mit dem Zug nach Downtown gefahren. Dort mussten wir erst einmal einiges bei Target kaufen und viele Bilder am Mississippi machen. Am Abend sind wir auf die so genannte "unendliche Brücke" im lokalen Theater gegangen.
In den folgenden Tagen waren wir in der Mall of America shoppen und haben abends in typischen amerikanischen Restaurants u.A Mac and Cheese gegessen. Aber bald führte unsere Reise uns wieder zurück zum Flughafen, denn von dort aus fuhr unser Bus ins Landesinnere. Nach einer 5-stündigen Busfahrt waren wir endlich angekommen. Eine Woche übernachteten wir in den Doorms der Universität und anschließend fing mein Sommerjob auch schon an. Ich habe mehrere Wochen in einem Sommercamp in den USA gearbeitet. Anschließend fuhr ich wieder mit dem Bus zurück nach Minneapolis und habe ein paar Nächte bei einer Freundin übernachtet. Mit ihr konnte ich zur Highschool gehen. Die meiste Zeit habe ich jedoch in der Mall oder mit andere Freunden aus Deutschland verbracht. Wir haben erneut Uptown, Downtown, gute italienische Restaurants und St. Paul besucht.
Am 27. August bin ich schließlich zurück nach Düsseldorf geflogen.
Ich bin wirklich dankbar für die schöne Zeit die ich in den Staaten hatte. Der Sommer war zwar super stressig, trozdem einer der Besten den ich jemals gehabt habe. Ich habe so viele neue Menschen in Herz geschlossen und möchte einige von Ihnen wirklich nicht missen.
Reisen ist einer der schönsten Dinge die man im Leben machen kann. Dies ist mir leider erst nach den zwei Monaten in Amerika klar geworden. Man realisiert wie viel es eigentlich auf der Welt noch zu sehen gibt.
Nun kann ich wirklich nicht glauben, dass ich nur noch 11 Tage in meiner Heimatsstadt habe.
Danach führt mich mein Weg in ein anderes Land. Diesmal jedoch für eine etwas längere Zeit...
